Hello, my name is Eva Bloomfield, the owner of Bloomfield Counselling. I am a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor. This means I am trained in a range of therapeutic approaches and draw from those that best support you and your needs. These may include person-centred therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic approaches, and attachment-informed work. Together, we can find a way of working that feels comfortable, supportive and effective for you.
I am a member of the BACP (the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists), which means I abide by their code of ethics. I am fully insured and undertake monthly supervision to reflect on my work and maintain high standards. I am committed to participating in continued professional development to further my understanding and practice; I am currently completing a Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling

At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship we build together. Research consistently shows that a strong, trusting relationship is one of the most important factors in achieving lasting change. Real progress happens when we feel safe, heard and supported. I believe that just as every person is unique, so too is the therapeutic process. The work we do, and the tools and techniques we use, will be tailored specifically to you.
Our work together aims to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and move towards a more fulfilling and balanced life. This may involve exploring current challenges, looking at patterns rooted in your past, or focusing on specific goals in either short-term or longer-term therapy. We will work collaboratively, at your pace, to identify and achieve the outcomes that matter most to you. I aim to provide a space to breathe, talk freely and to start feeling like yourself again.
